CFD Consulting for Buildings with an Unusual or Specialized Function
CFD engineering modeling may be used to evaluate air quality, flow patterns, cleanliness or comfort in applications ranging from fusion reaction research to football stadiums.
Laser target area for fusion research
Very tight temperature control is required to prevent laser misalignment due to thermal transients or nonuniform temperature distribution. This analysis uses streaklines to show the 3-dimensional airflow path around the laser tubes... the resulting temperatures were also calculated but are not shown here.
Switchyard for many large lasers
Beams from very large, powerful lasers are redirected in this building toward the laser target building. An imaginary section is cut through the space with the temperatures displayed upon it. Heat sources include lighting, electronic racks and a small influence from the exterior environment.
